Hyundai Motor India Introduces Bluelink Remote Immobiliser for Venue and Venue N Line via Over-the-Air Update

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has enhanced security for the Hyundai Venue and Venue N Line by introducing the Hyundai Bluelink Remote Immobiliser. Available starting September 11, 2026, this security update is offered natively on the connected-car-Navigation-Cockpit (ccNC) equipped HX10 and N10 variants of the Venue and Venue N Line, respectively. It will also be rolled out in phases across select existing Bluelink-equipped models and included as standard on future connected Hyundai vehicles. Designed to prevent unauthorized restarts even in scenarios involving key cloning the feature allows owners to remotely secure their parked vehicles directly through the Hyundai Bluelink app.

Proactive and Reactive Protection Features:
The system provides multiple layers of safety and tracking capabilities for vehicle owners:

Proactive Protection: Customers can switch on the immobilizer through the Bluelink app while parked to prevent unauthorized restarts.

Reactive Immobilisation: In cases of suspected theft, owners can instantly activate the feature via the app so that once the vehicle is turned off, it cannot be restarted without authorization, saving critical time without needing to contact the Bluelink Centre. For safety reasons, the system explicitly avoids shutting down a moving vehicle.

Live Location Support: When connected to the network, real-time location tracking helps customers and law enforcement authorities locate and recover the vehicle faster.

Software-Defined Architecture and C-OTA Updates:
Leveraging the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) architecture of the Hyundai Venue and Venue N Line, the feature is deployed remotely via a Controller Over-the-Air (C-OTA) update. This wireless method eliminates the need for a workshop visit for eligible variants sold since November 2025. Equipped with ccNC technology, compatible models can receive C-OTA updates across up to 19 vehicle controllers, allowing Hyundai to deliver ongoing enhancements, updates, and new features seamlessly.
