HDFC Mutual Fund Re-opens BSE REITS and Commercial Real Estate Index Fund for Ongoing Subscriptions
HDFC Mutual Fund has officially re-opened the HDFC BSE REITS and Commercial Real Estate Index Fund for ongoing subscriptions following its New Fund Offering (NFO). Designed as an open-ended passive investment scheme, the fund tracks the BSE REITS and Commercial Real Estate Index (TRI). This offering bridges a traditional gap in retail portfolios by granting investors convenient, low-barrier exposure to India’s booming commercial real estate ecosystem.
Index Composition and Investment Structure:
The underlying benchmark combines listed Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) with select commercial real estate companies that feature rental-income-driven business models. By routing investments through a mutual fund format, retail participants can tap into professionally managed, income-generating property assets with minimal capital requirements. The fund is structured to offer a diversified alternative to traditional asset classes, backed by distinct return drivers like regular rental yields and long-term capital appreciation potential.
Democratizing Wealth Creation Through Passive Solutions:
Highlighting the strategic importance of the launch, Mr. Navneet Munot, Managing Director and CEO of HDFC Asset Management Company Limited, noted that the product reinforces the firm’s mission to democratize innovative investment avenues for all Indians. Leveraging HDFC’s extensive two-decade experience in managing passive strategies, the index fund aims to seamlessly channel long-term institutional and retail capital into high-quality commercial assets supporting India’s ongoing economic expansion.
