LATA partners with International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF). Adults volunteers can be Judges
Founded in 1921, Society for Science & the Public is a top non-profit organization championing for science, dedicated to expanding scientific literacy, effective STEM education and scientific research.
Every year, tens of millions of students participate in science fairs around the globe but only about 1,800 earn the right to compete for nearly $5 million awards bestowed each May at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)
ISEF 2020 will be held in Anaheim, California, May 10-15, 2020. You can choose how many hours and what time of the day you want to volunteer.
Volunteer Opportunities For Students: Anyone 14 and above age can serve as the volunteer. Student volunteers get
- A Volunteer certificate with hours.
- An opportunity to interact with the top notch students from across the world.
- May get inspired/motivated and create something great of their own
Volunteer Opportunities for Adults: In addition to the above category, adults can serve as the judges in the competition. There is a qualification, but most of us should be qualified. Please see the flyer for qualification details. What do you get? You can up close see how these competitions are, and may gain a ton of knowledge for your kids. Also being a judge in an international science competition will certainly add value to your resume.
