Cinematography Minister Appreciates Paradox Pictures Studios’ Efforts For a World-Class Film City in Tirupati
Paradox Pictures Founder & Film Producer Kavya and film actor Jayanth (JSR) met Andhra Pradesh Minister for Cinematography Kandula Durgesh for a detailed discussion on strengthening and expanding the Telugu film ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh.
Entrepreneur turned Producer Kavya presented Paradox Pictures’ long-term vision of producing large-scale Telugu and pan-Indian films extensively within Andhra Pradesh while contributing towards the development of world-class film infrastructure across the state. As part of this vision, she shared details about their upcoming pan-Indian feature film directed by P. Jaya Kumar, known for writing Sarkar 3 starring Amitabh Bachchan, Officer starring Akkineni Nagarjuna, and GST by Ram Gopal Varma.
Producer Kavya stated that the film is being produced entirely in Tirupati and will feature actors and performers from across the world, including Bulgaria, Zimbabwe, Japan, Togo, Africa and several other countries, reflecting the production house’s ambition to bring international cinematic collaborations to Andhra Pradesh. She also informed the Minister about another prestigious project currently under production; a biopic based on an internationally recognised personality, also being shot extensively in Tirupati.
Minister Durgesh viewed the rushes from both films, appreciated the scale and vision of the productions, and extended his support and encouragement to the team.
Producer Kavya highlighted that Paradox Pictures has already established itself as a feature film production house with fully equipped cinema infrastructure connected to the film and entertainment industry, bringing together directors, cinematographers, production designers, set designers, equipment rental agencies, and technical teams under one roof in Tirupati.
The meeting further focused on proposals related to setting up of film cities, film studios, production facilities, post-production ecosystems, training institutes, and skill-development initiatives aimed at nurturing local talent, technicians, and aspiring filmmakers from Andhra Pradesh. Discussions also explored the importance of creating a sustainable ecosystem that can support filmmakers, actors, writers, cinematographers, designers, VFX artists, choreographers, junior artists, child artists, costume designers, make up artists and technical professionals under one integrated creative network in Tirupati.
The interaction also underscored the immense potential of Tirupati to emerge as a major destination for cinema, media, entertainment, and creative industries in India. Special emphasis was placed on generating large-scale employment opportunities for youth, encouraging private investment into film infrastructure, strengthening tourism through cinema, and building an industry-friendly environment capable of attracting actors, technicians, production houses, OTT projects, and creative professionals from across the country and abroad.
Minister Kandula Durgesh responded positively to the vision presented by Paradox Pictures and appreciated the initiative aimed at contributing to the growth of the Telugu film industry and the broader creative economy of Andhra Pradesh.
The meeting concluded on a promising note, with confidence that Tirupati possesses the potential to evolve into a vibrant hub for film production, media innovation, cinematic tourism, and entertainment-driven economic growth in the coming years.
