Maruti Suzuki’s ‘eParivartan’ Initiative Impacts 8,700 Lives Through Employee Volunteering

New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced the successful completion of its flagship employee volunteering initiative, ‘eParivartan,’ for the fiscal year 2025–26. The program saw employees dedicate over 2,600 hours of service, positively influencing the lives of more than 8,700 individuals across various social strata.

Mobilizing a Workforce for Social Good:
In a significant display of corporate empathy, over 1,100 employees stepped beyond their professional roles to participate in 30+ community activities. These initiatives spanned critical areas including healthcare, education, youth engagement, and elderly care.

Health & Community Care:
The ‘eParivartan’ initiative focused on tangible contributions to public health and community well-being:

Blood Donation Drives: Four major drives were conducted across manufacturing and corporate locations.

Mobility Support: Volunteers utilized their technical skills to assemble wheelchairs from kits, which were subsequently donated to care centers and shelter homes.

Direct Aid: Essential supplies, including food, medicine, and toiletries, were distributed to address the daily needs of residents in local shelters.

Companionship: Structured engagement programs were established to provide dignity and connection to the elderly and underprivileged.

Education and Empowering the Youth:
Maruti Suzuki placed a heavy emphasis on broadening the horizons of young learners from marginalized backgrounds:

Industrial Exposure: Students were invited to the Manesar manufacturing facility, giving them a firsthand look at large-scale engineering to spark interest in future STEM careers.

Inclusive Learning: Special attention was given to specially-abled and visually impaired children through art sessions and the distribution of Braille kits.

The ‘Wish Tree’ Project: Employees personally fulfilled the specific wishes of over 300 students, providing essentials like school bags, stationery, and toys.

Infrastructure Improvement: Volunteers painted over 1,400 sq. ft. of wall space in government schools across Manesar and Gurugram to create more vibrant learning environments.

Leadership Perspective:
Reflecting on the program’s success, Mr. Rahul Bharti, Senior Executive Officer, Corporate Affairs, stated:

“Progress is meaningful only when it is shared. While we have supported over 8,700 people this year, the true value lies in the ‘soul-warming’ experience for our volunteers. eParivartan is about fostering a deep, life-changing connection between our workforce and the community.”

Core CSR Philosophy:
Maruti Suzuki continues to anchor its CSR strategy on three pillars: Road Safety, Skill Development, and Community Development. Through ‘eParivartan,’ the company ensures that its growth remains inclusive, working closely with local stakeholders to drive sustainable change across India’s industrial heartlands.
