Coca-Cola India Taps Diljit Dosanjh and Janhvi Kapoor to Transform Everyday Breaks into Halftime Moments

Coca-Cola: In a move to redefine how consumers experience daily pauses, Coca-Cola India has launched a new campaign featuring global sensation Diljit Dosanjh and Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor. The initiative introduces the concept of the “Coca-Cola Halftime,” suggesting that a break should do more than just pause the clock—it should reconnect individuals to their surroundings.

The Philosophy of the Halftime:
The campaign is built on the insight that modern life often moves at an overwhelming pace, leaving people physically present but mentally detached. Coca-Cola aims to position its signature beverage as a “refreshing spark” that helps people snap out of autopilot.

Karthik Subramanian, Senior Director of Marketing for Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia, explained the vision:

“Today’s consumers value small, meaningful breaks that help them stay grounded. This campaign celebrates how a simple halftime can bring people closer to what matters around them.”

Cinematic Storytelling of the ‘In-Between’:
Conceptualized by WPP Open X (led by VML), the campaign films focus on the beauty of routine moments.

Nakul Sharma and Tirtha Ghosh, Executive Creative Directors at VML, noted that the campaign treats Coca-Cola as a “micro-moment of reconnection,” transforming “checked-out” moments into experiences that feel truly alive.

A Locally Rooted Multi-Market Rollout:
To ensure a deep connection with India’s diverse audience, the campaign features tailored narratives across several key states:

North & West: Diljit Dosanjh leads the films for Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

South: Janhvi Kapoor stars in the Tamil adaptation, alongside a dedicated film produced for the Kannada-speaking market.

The campaign is further elevated by a retro-themed original soundtrack composed by Donn Bhat, featuring the vocals of Vivek Hariharan and Aarifah Rebello. The 360-degree rollout includes heavy integration across television, digital platforms, and social media.
