TAGDV 50 Year Celebrations at Valley Forge Convention Center, PA
The 50 year celebrations of the Telugu Association of Greater Delaware Valley (TAGDV) were conducted on April 7th and 8th at the Valley Forge Convention Center, King of Prussia, PA amidst a lot of pomp and gaiety with more than 3500 people in attendance.
A Banquet Dinner was conducted on April 7th to honor and felicitate 6 stalwarts from the local community that have made impactful contributions to the society in various fields.
Sri Suman garu was the Chief Guest and Smt Jaya Sudha garu, Smt Sunitha garu, Eesha Rebba, Neha Krishna garu, RJ Ravali, Satya Yamani and Anudeep Dev were the guest of honors.
Sri Suman garu and Smt Jaya Sudha garu gave awards in Excellence in community Service to Ravi Mayreddy garu, Literary Excellence Award to Afsar Mohammad garu, Professional Excellence Award to Murty Chengalvala garu, Women Empowerment Award to Sharmila Ravi, Youth Award for Excellence Award to Sai Kothapalli, Excellence in Business Entrepreneurship to Praveen Andapalli.
Sri Suman garu released the special Souvenir “Swarnosthavam” on the occasion of TAGDV 50th Anniversary.
This was followed by a mellifluous musical concert by Anudeep Dev garu and Satya Yamini garu which captivated the audience.

The main event on April 8th started with Sita Rama kalyanam conducted by priests who came from Sri Ranganatha Temple Newyork.
Inaugural dance “Sri Rama Patttabhishekam” performed by very talented 40+ local children from New Jersey. It was a glorious sight to watch the 40 minutes non-stop performance and a proud moment for the parents of participants.
Cultural competitions were also conducted on the main stage throughout the afternoon upholding the tradition of TAGDV as longtime supporters of dance, drama and stage plays.
Delicious Food served by Lunch from House of Biryani and kebabs(Norristown),Dinner from House of Biryani and Kebabs(Malvern).
Prime time started at 7PM and RJ Ravali garu welcomed the President Mr. Mujeebur Rehman garu to deliver the speech. Rehman garu thanked and remembered all the past presidents and their excellency to run this esteemed organization. He also reviewed how TAGDV preserving the culture and promoting our telugu artistic forms to future generations.
In the evening, Mujeebur Rehman garu, President of TAGDV distributed the prizes to the winners of cultural and sports competitions.
Sri Mujeebur Rehman delivered his message explaining the history and contributions of the elders over the past fifty years highlighting the services and contributions of TAGDV to the community. He thanked the Executive Committee and volunteers felicitated all the past presidents of the organization on the stage in recognition of their tireless efforts to strengthen the Telugu Community in the region.
Sri Mujeebur Rehman invited all the past presidents for special recognition for their community service for TAGDV Sri Kotapati Sambasiva Rao garu, Sri Damu Gedela garu, Sri Harinath Doddapaneni garu ,Sri Ravi Potuluri garu,Sri Mallik Budhavarapu garu,Sri Harinath Bungathvala garu and Sri Kiran Kothapalli .
This TAGDV 50 years celebration will go down in the annals of history as the first time when representatives from all National organizations and Local attended to support the event.
Sri Mujeebur Rehman, the president especially thanked TTA, TLCA and SEWAA.org organizations for their unwavering support in raising funds for this event to be successful.
TAGDV recognized TTA Founder Mr. Pailla Mallareddy with a special recognition for his excellency and support for TAGDV organization in all aspects.
TAGDV recognized LS Properties Founder Mr.Suresh Kagithapu garu with a special recognition for their generosity to make this event successful.
Telugu Association of North America(TANA), Gold Sponsor of the event greeted & wished the audience with a video and invited all the audience to their 23th TANA Conference from July 7th-9th 2023 will be held at Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia, PA.
TANA Conference convenor Ravi potuluri garu,Mid Atlantic RVP Sunil koganti garu attended & congratulated the members of TAGDV on the occasion of 50th Anniversary celebrations.
American Telugu Association (ATA) President-elect Jayanth Challa garu and Past President Parmesh Bheemreddy are recognised for their unconditional support to TAGDV.
TAGDV past president and NATS vice president Harinath Bungathavala garu and Executive Committee members wished TAGDV members on the occasion of 50th Anniversary celebrations & wished the audience with a video and invited all the audience to their 7th NATS Telugu Sambaralu from May 26th-28th 2023 will be held at New jersey Convention and Exposition Center, New Jersey, NJ.
TAGDV recognised Philadelphia Telangana Association (PTA), Greater Philly TTA and Andhra Pradesh American Telugu Association (AAA) for their kind support.
This was followed by the grand finale event of the night, an out of the world musical concert by Smt Sunitha and his troop – Anirudh Suswaram and Meher Chanti Band.
The choice of songs, the live orchestra and the rendition of the singers coupled with Sri Sunitha garu actively facilitating on the stage was a feast to the eyes and the ears.
The concert enthralled the audience for about 3 hours & went on till 12AM and was very well received by the satisfied audience. More than 2500+ audience were present at 12AM in the auditorium which showcased the magic of Sunitha garu.
